ISHPMIE

ISHPMIE is an international biennial conference series aiming at the advancing the prevention and mitigation of industrial explosions. The conference brings together academia and industry experts and the program will include high-level presentations from both perspectives. Special focuses are placed in safety issues from targeting net-zero mission and application of AI in the prevention of industrial explosions. The first ISHPMIE was organised in Bergen, Norway, in 1996, followed by Schaumburg, USA (1998), Tsukuba, Japan (2000), Bourges, France (2002), Cracow, Poland (2004), Halifax, Canada (2006), St. Petersburg, Russia (2008), Yokohama, Japan (2010), Cracow, Poland (2012), Bergen, Norway (2014), Dalian, China (2016), Kansas City, USA (2018), Braunschweig, Germany (2020, online event), Braunschweig, Germany (2022), and Naples, Italy (2024). The 2026 event is organized by the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the National Science and Technology Council.
